    FRESH OFF THE EASEL....

One of the things I quickly learned while living in Colorado is there are two types of Chickadees.   The one of which most of us are familiar is the one that sports a solid black cap.  Then there is the Mountain variety......an adorable little bird with a white stripe on each side of it's black cap.  This cheeky little bird is very fast and is always on the move so it's not easy to get a photo.  Love these little birds...they always make me smile!!

Chickadees are one of my favorite little birds. We have many in our backyard and their song and calls are so happy and appealing. We were Blessed to have had a newly fledged clutch swoop into one of our trees. Although they didn't stay long, it is a moment in time I shall always remember....to have such a large group of very young birds in our small plum tree at the same time was remarkable!!
